Hello! I’m Elizabeth Black. Outside of my professional pursuits, I find joy in spending quality time with my family, traveling to new places, and expressing myself through various forms of art. I’m also deeply committed to living sustainably, seeking ways to reduce my environmental footprint and embrace a more eco-conscious lifestyle. These activities not only keep me grounded but also provide me with valuable perspectives and insights that shape my approach to helping others. I find that they often serve as reminders of the importance of balance, creativity, and mindfulness, qualities I aim to bring into my work with clients.

I am an intern with the Mancos Valley Center for Trauma and Attachment and am currently pursuing my Master’s in Social Work degree through the University of Kentucky’s online program with the intention of becoming a clinical therapist. I am passionate about working with individuals and families facing challenges like anxiety, depression, and trauma, and I am also committed to supporting those in the LGBTQ+ community. I believe in the power of creating a safe, open, and non-judgmental space where everyone feels heard and understood.

During my time as an intern, I aim to provide a supportive environment where clients can express themselves openly while working toward personal growth and healing
